Could you be a Peeps’ Trustee?

We’re looking to recruit 3 new Trustees to join our existing Board at Peeps, the only UK charity dedicated to supporting those touched by H.I.E. (Hypoxic-Ischaemic Encephalopathy).

Do you have a little time (around 2 hours per month) to get involved with a growing charity, making a difference to families across the UK?

If so, we would love to hear from you, especially if you have any of the following:

  • parent/grandparent/carer experience of H.I.E
  • finance / treasurer experience
  • commercial / business acumen

We’re a friendly bunch, dedicated to providing support and raising awareness of HIE and our Trustee meetings take place mostly online, on a weekday evening, planned in advance to fit around other commitments.  The full role description can be read here.

We value and encourage diversity in our charity and are committed to promoting equality. We are also looking to recruit those with experiences and backgrounds that may not currently be as well represented.

The first stage of the recruitment process is to submit a written piece (up to 2 pages of A4), or a video clip (up to 5 minutes in length), stating why you would like to be a Trustee and the qualities/experience you could bring to the role. Please send to sarah@peeps-hie.org or WhatsApp videos to 07838 197 945.

We aim to make the process as accessible as possible so please don’t hesitate to let us know of any specific requirements that may assist you in applying for the role.

If you’d like to find out more, or arrange to speak to a Trustee currently in position, please email info@peeps-hie.org or call/text 07838 197 945 for an informal chat.

Closing date for applications is the 29th September 2023.
