H.I.E. Conference – Thursday 14th May 2026 – Salford Quays
We’ll be holding our first H.I.E. Conference, with the theme “Hear, Inform, Empower” – a huge opportunity to raise awareness of H.I.E and amplify voices, bringing together families, healthcare professionals, researchers, charities and those who support people affected by H.I.E.
Join us at The Lowry, Salford Quays on Thursday 14th May 2026.

Guest Speakers:
Nicolas Hamilton will be joining us as a guest speaker:
“Nicolas is a disability ambassador and hugely inspiring speaker. Born with Cerebral Palsy, following an H.I.E. event at birth, Nicolas and his parents were told that he would never walk, or talk, but this did not stop him for achieving his dream of becoming a successful racing driver.”
Alongside Nicolas will be Paula Abramson from Bereavement Training International, Rachel Wright from Born at the Right Time, Manisha Sheth from Support Me, Sarah Edney, a speech and language therapist and researcher specialising in neonatology and infant feeding disorders, and more!

The programme is designed to be for parents, healthcare professionals, those working along side H.I.E. families, as well as community and charity groups. We recognise that there might be things discussed on the day that could bring up emotions, so we have peer support volunteers on hand, and a dedicated parent room if a little quiet time is needed.
We’ve put together some questions and answers that might be helpful, which you can find by clicking here. Anything else don’t hesitate to ask, please get in touch via info@peeps-hie.org
