Bonding Hearts for families
Can you sew a little love?
We need your help! We’d love to keep offering our bonding hearts to Peeps families, whether it’s receiving them in our parent packs at the beginning of an H.I.E. journey, or as a token of support during hospital stays. These hearts help parents and carers stay connected with their little ones in hospital, but we can’t provide them without kind and crafty volunteers.
Bonding hearts are exchanged between parent or carer and their child to carry each other’s scent, strengthen their bond even when apart, and hold some comfort in tough times.
Here’s why they’re so important:
“I remember the bonding hearts given to me, I still have them. They were my comfort blanket at the time I wouldn’t let her be moved anywhere without them!”
“We were never without them when we were apart.”
“I couldn’t see our baby for 4 days and the bonding heart I received made me feel close to her.”
“They felt like the most important thing in the world”
