Advocacy & Outreach Officer

Could you be the next member of Team Peeps?

We’re growing our team and looking for a new Advocacy & Outreach Officer to join us at Peeps.

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys building relationships, making connections and making a difference.

You’ll help Peeps strengthen our relationships with NHS Trusts and healthcare professionals, as well as charities, community organisations and other groups. You’ll also play an important role in advocacy, networking, awareness raising and collaboration, helping more families affected by H.I.E. to find the support they need.

The role at a glance

Location:
Predominantly office-based at The HIvE, Peeps’ office space in Oldham.

Contract:
12-month contract, with the potential to become permanent subject to funding.

Hours:
10 hours per week

Our core hours are 12pm–2pm every Monday. The remaining hours can be worked flexibly between 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday, in agreement with the CEO and according to the needs of the role.

Some evening or weekend work may occasionally be required to support events or specific outreach opportunities. Wherever possible, this will be agreed in advance.

Salary:
£7,500 per annum for 10 hours per week
Full-time equivalent: £26,250 per annum (35 hours per week full time equivalent.

Peeps is the UK’s only charity dedicated to supporting families affected by Hypoxic-Ischaemic Encephalopathy (H.I.E.).

We support families from diagnosis onwards, providing practical, emotional and financial support, alongside opportunities for connection and peer support. We also work with healthcare professionals and organisations to improve awareness and understanding of H.I.E.
