Fund a Family – Peeps Trip to Bendrigg Trust in May 2026
Help fund a family adventure this May
This May, Peeps are heading back to Bendrigg Trust for our fourth residential trip with our wonderful H.I.E. families. We have space for up to 45 individuals, and already 9 families are excited to join us 🙂
For many H.I.E. families, a break like this wouldn’t be possible without our supporters. The trip is more than time away from home, families are able to meet others with H.I.E. experiences, make memories, and enjoy activities their child may usually be excluded from.
Bendrigg Trust is a fully accessible outdoor activity centre where families have new experiences that would otherwise be out of reach due to accessibility, (canoeing, campfire, abseiling, climbing, bushcraft, orienteering, zip wire, sensory swing, tube slide and more!). All activities are adapted to each child’s needs, and supported by Bendrigg’s lovely team.
Whilst having fun is important, families are also able to have a genuine break. Accommodation and all meals are provided (even blended diets!).
💛One parent shared –
“AJ’s blends were provided by the kitchen and were done perfectly! How nice is it to sit and eat with your child in a restaurant and feel ‘normal’?!”
💛 Another family told us –
“Being able to get X up a climbing wall and out on the water felt like a dream. The staff never gave up until they found a way to make it work. We made the most amazing memories.”
Cost transparency:
The true cost of a place on this trip is £328.20, and we have subsidised this cost to £150 per person which is the maximum any family will contribute. Many families also require further financial assistance.
We’re inviting individuals, supporters and organisations to support with the remaining cost of places on this trip.
You could:
- Fund a full place
- Fund a family
- Make a donation towards the overall weekend
- Make a contribution towards a future trip at Bendrigg Trust or a similar venue (we’re looking for others around the country!).
With everything we do at Peeps, we try to remove barriers to accessing support and create new opportunities for families to experience together and with the H.I.E. Community.
If you’d like to support this trip, or future ones, please contact jess@peeps-hie.org. Please also get in touch if you’d like more information. Thank you! 💛
