P.T. (Physiotherapist)

Physiotherapist (physio) – you may be introduced to a physio early on. They can help look at your baby’s muscles and tone. Some H.I.E. babies may be quite stiff whilst others a bit floppy (see hypotonia). Physios can also look at their chest if they are a bit crackly. They may show you some stretches and moves to do with your baby to help, and look at good positioning in the cot or seat.
