New look for our Parent Packs and generous gift!
Thanks to Dan and the team at the team at Smurfit Westrock Display, our parent packs have a brand new look. Not only that, they kindly designed and gifted 1,000 of them to Peeps, completely free of charge.
Dan shares the reason why:
“In December 2024 me and my wife gave birth to our perfect second born Ted, but he was born in the most traumatic way.
Ted suffered a HIE episode, he was placed in the 3rd category, the most severe. Despite all the efforts of the doctors Ted’s injuries were too severe and he passed away 8 days old.
We found out about Peeps last year and have helped us to understand and come to terms with what happened to Ted. The work Peeps does is vital and working in the world of print, it was a pleasure to help support in my way with welcome boxes to help parents in the future.
Without charities like Peeps it’s a very lonely place, and as a bereaved parent it can be even lonelier.”
Our thoughts are with Dan, Ted and the family, and it seems most fitting that the words inside the box, in different languages, simply read “with love”.
If you work on a neonatal unit and would like some of our packs, to give to families who face an H.I.E. diagnosis, please do get in touch. They are put together by parents, for parents, and contain gentle information and comfort items. Nothing medical, nothing scary, just reassurance that they aren’t on their own.
