Peeps is heading to Parliament!

Hi everyone,

We’re really pleased to share that Peeps has been invited to Parliament on Wednesday 18 March (10am–12pm) to talk about the work we do as a charity, life with HIE and the changes that could make things easier for families. It’s a rare and exciting opportunity for our community, and we’d love your help to make sure as many MPs as possible hear your voices.

How you can help

We’re asking supporters to write to their MP and encourage them to attend. We’ve included a template letter to make this quick and easy, and you can add a little about your own experience if you feel comfortable. It won’t take long — just a few minutes — but the difference it could make is huge. Could you please send this by 1st March if possible so this can be added to MPs’ diaries, however anything sent before the 18th March is helpful.

How to find your MP

Just go to https://members.parliament.uk/findyourmp?SearchText=mp or www.theyworkforyou.com , enter your postcode, and you’ll see your MP’s name and email address.

Please share wider too

If you can, please pass this on to friends and family across the country who might be willing to email their MP as well — the more areas reached, the bigger the impact.

A gentle note

Some of the topics in the letter touch on difficult experiences. We really hope the content isn’t triggering, and we want to reassure you that Peeps is always here if you need support, whether that’s now or in the future.
